Daily Note

40th overall. 26:57 finishing time. Honestly, this was the funnest race i've ran in recent memory. My parents even said it looked like I was having too much fun out there. At the first mile was 55th and I just kept passing people slowly as the race progressed. For the first time this year, I felt in control of the race from start to finish. The biggest difference was that my breathing finally felt normal. Not sure if it was Ernie or Matt who said I've been training in altitude this entire year(and they weren't completely wrong). It was a night and day difference compared to my past three races. Due to being sick this past week and how difficult the 6min miles felt on Tuesday, I decided to run conservative at the beginning. I'm happy I did, but at the same time, I felt like I had a lot left in the last mile and wish I had taken more chances in the race. At the end of the day, one week ago I wasn't sure if I was gonna race a XC race again due to how I was feeling so I'm just happy I could have one last crack at it with the guys. Onto indoors...
