3 mile warmup. Prefontaine Mile. Jogging + 4x300m with a 1:30 recovery (2 miles). 3 mile cool down. Core and pushups before. Rolling and PNF stretching after. Pre splits: 30.2, 40.2, 30.9, 40.7, 30.3, 40.9, 29.2, 37.5. Total: 4:40. Felt really solid during this Pre. Frank and I alternated leading the hard 200's. Felt very motivated to be running them in a big group too. Felt strong on the hard ones, but can tell I haven't gone that fast in many weeks. We also focused on hitting the perfect 4:40 and not overtraining or racing it like we did in indoor. 4x300m splits: 47.0, 48.3, 47.0, 47.3. Same as the pre, felt strong, but definitely needed today to be re-exposed to the speed. Some hamstring soreness after the workout but no worse than it was after Tuesday. Need some more of what I just did.
