upper 30s, 20mph wind, on and off rain. around noon. parked at 56th st at eagle creek. did a road loop, got something to drink, ran over to eagles crest and did the big loop plus did the extra mile loop again, then back to eagle creek. got some more calories and started tempo at 2:57. avg around 6:30 pace on the tempo. weather was nasty but dressed about perfectly and felt really good today. 7:45 pace at the beginning on the roads was pretty relaxed. legs got a little tired on the trails from 1:20-1:40 but then bounced back well. HR was getting up there before the tempo so was I slowed down to low 8min pace to keep it from getting too high. tempo felt good and legs were still good after. appropriately tired but could've kept going no problem.
