Meaty workout this morning--3x3 progressive miles, definitely the longest reps I've done solo if not ever. Weather was absolutely beautiful--low 60s with no clouds in the sky. Just ten degrees lower and you get the early Augustana cross weather, and maybe ideal fall weather in general. However, the workout didn't go too well. First 3 miles were spot-on but I could tell my legs were a little dead from the start. Next 3 were slower, but not entirely off my goal times. Final 3 I think I gave up a little because I barely progressed. Definitely a fatigued legs issue and not an aerobic issue, which is probably good in the long run (no pun intended), but still wish this went a little better. Saw a white mouse droid-looking thing on the field with a camera and spent a good chunk of the workout wondering what it was doing. ___________________________________________ Night double to Prospect Park. Not really sure why I wanted to run in the dark tonight, but it certainly brought me back to my 2020 summer days. Thought about this morning and I might try taking Tuesdays a bit lighter in mileage since I'm always over mileage on Wednesdays anyway.
