Daily Note

Good day at the office because my work this sprint is more up my alley--I get to create a Python tool from scratch. Ran a Harper Highland after with one slight alteration: a mid-run stride as an attempt to claim the crown on a segment. I usually don't pay too much attention to Strava segments as I'm more of a heatmap guy, but this one was named "Daddy Dave's Quik Boiz Seggy (Fast Track)" which was simply too egregious to ignore. Unfortunately, I didn't have the footspeed for the record today, but it was a nice motivator for getting in a tiny anaerobic effort since I've been so-so on strides recently. Speaking of that, my goal last week was to do a better job with my schedule and once again I'm not sure I fully hit that goal--on the one hand, I got better sleep and was never rushing home to make a meeting on time, so definite improvements there. On the other hand, I wasn't super consistent with strides and GS/core. Though the latter felt easy today, so I think it's time I step up my GENERAL STRENGTH/CORE routine for this week.
