Daily Note

5 miles over the OCNJ 9th Street Bridge this morning. Felt pretty good. It was very windy the first half, then the second half my pace got quicker as the wind pushed my back. Definitely not worried about elevation this summer, as this bridge can provide me with enough. It may call for doing the bridge back-and-forth a couple of times in the same run, but I am willing to do what it takes to be as prepared as I can. Hardest part now is not overtraining and staying patient. All I want to do is start doubling, doing more than 50 pushups, more core than I am currently doing, but why burn myself out now, when I am just getting started? I truly believe that the 1520 Lifestyle is what made them very good runners, but the discipline they held in their everyday lives is what made them who they became. That discipline is not talked about as much. Core and pushups before. Stretching, rolling, and hips after.
