Daily Note

12PM: baranof is getting whamoblamo-ed with a snowstorm today. shit has fallen all day with no sign of stopping. very "out there" vibes once again, especially while looking out to the ocean. plan was a chill 8 mile "float" at 6:00 pace at hames. 2M easy, 8M float, 2M easy. pulled a bretscher classic putting a towel over the treadmill interface, having no idea how far i'd gone. honestly makes it so much chiller, & i can just focus on the act of running, & vibing to the music. felt chill. i think next WO buildup cycle i'm gonna experiment more with these chill / sub threshold WOs that never really tax you all that bad, but benefit all the same. 8 min plank & eccentrics.
8:30PM: in lieu of an actual LR this buildup down week, opted for an easy double. & also so i can take the next three days chill to hit 65. just meandered around town & outside totem. felt like the middle of the goddamn night out, for two reasons. to start, i guess that's what happens when you run almost 6 hours after it gets dark. & mainly, the snowstorm was still raging on. nobody out, & silent out except for the howl of the wind. this was so so lovely. reminded me a lot of my luminaria christmas eve runs in clarendon hills. snowing night runs are a top 1 easy run condition. if my last run ever was like this one i'd almost be content.
