Daily Note

8:45AM: would NOT have run under normal circumstances in the morning to give more time to recover from yesterday... but colin's leaving sitka today. headed to oklahoma city to start a job as a hydrologist for the USGS. flight was at noon & he still had a bit of packing to do, so i ran the cross trail north then west & got off at charteris exit to be outside his house at 9AM. we ran to the end of the benchlands & back together. the snow was coming down like crazy; the entire cross trail had maybe 3-4 fresh inches on it. the sitka spruce & hemlock trees were all white. it was such a cool vibe, & i'm glad i got to share it with colin. said doot doot (his job is remote until march - he'll be back sometime before that) & came back on the cross trail again. realized just how tired i was those last two miles.
