Daily Note

10AM: drove out to gary paxton to run the ol' classic herring cove loop. the gang was all there - spencer, sophie, & even harry came. sophie had a pretty persistent cough & this was harry's first run in a while, so we kept it preeeeeetty slow - especially on the 1,000 ascent, which we more or less just walked. but it allowed me to pay more attention the beauty around the trail. it really is a gorgeous place. right at bear falls (& only at bear falls) snow was falling too. first snow i've been in here in sitka. it was wonderful.
after the loop i decided that with a tentative hike planned tomorrow it was now or never to hit 50 on the week - so i said doot doot to the three musketeers & ran home west on SMC. this was nice. views onto silver bay were awesome as usual. enjoyed the solo time. plantar fascia mostly held up.
