A.M. 24 min. run (3 mi.) 500 yd. swim A nice cool and sunny morning for this quick double run. Felt okay. Nice run overall. Really soaking in the nice weather. P.M. 2 mi. WU 3 x (600, 400, 600) w/ 200 jog 3 mi. CD HF Really good workout this evening. Was 50°, mostly cloudy, and a very light breeze. Felt a bit off coming in, but am very satisfied with it. Hit 1:54, 1:16, 1:54, 1:53, 1:16, 1:54, 1:51, 1:16, 1:53. 4' rest between sets. Feeling the mileage a bit in the legs, and despite being mentally exhausted from classes, got through it strong. Goal was to cruise at 5K pace and try to get comfortable with it, which I did perfectly. Aerobically felt super strong. Was fully recovered halfway through each jog. Pace itself felt easy on the legs, which is even better. Feel like I could accelerate at any point if I wanted to. Great confidence booster and first outdoor workout given the conditions. Ready to keep this ball rolling to nationals.
