6:53am - 8.01/52:46/6:35 - missing ~1/2 mile, stopped watch accidentally after tempo. 14:09(1.84), 5:45, 5:46, 5:39, 5:33, (1/2 mile of untimed running), 7:29, 7:14 left calf tight, right knee sore. other than that, felt pretty good - breathing felt almost conversational on the tempo section which is a good sign in the AM. when we stopped, breathing felt totally recovered almost immediately, legs just a little tight. definitely encouraging. honestly kind of surprised at not being able to compete better in the 5k lately after a full year of 60 mpw - though i do think the heat was a major factor at RH, i expected to be quicker on a course that fast and had zero response to nd's early pace. in my defense, haven't felt quite like myself since boston, but def feeling better this week. no spring chicken i suppose
