Eventful Easy Day on Jeff

Run

: 10.00 Mile(s) : 01:11:00 : 00:07:06 /mile : Brooks Ghost 10 : 0.0

Daily Note

Good run on Jeff. Easy recovery. Ran with Chmelik, Justin, Trips, Turtle, and Ziggy. Three interesting things happened during the run:

1) Chmelik and Tay ran ahead and pelted us with snowballs at Carleton's football stadium. Pretty fun. Dave then proceeded to hurl snowballs at the main pack and hit Ziggy really good. Poor guy has a pretty sizable bruise now.

2) I tore open my right shoe just before the Short Bryce turn. It was a good run with the Ghost 10's, but Cathy is coming down on Friday and he's bringing me a treat: more Ghost 10's. Massive tear in the shoe, though. Good trophy.

3) As we were coming up on the Bryce turn, a silhouette appeared around the corner. Turtle mumbled,"Griff?" and everybody kind of shrugged it off as a rando. But as he opened his arms, everyone in the group recognized him as Griff. He may have only been my coach for a week, but he's still a huge part of modern Big O lore. First thing he said was, "Where's Ellenbecker?" Good guy.

GS and stretching. Thinking about steeple.
