Daily Note

Fun fact for March 17: A wind can be classified as a hurricane at speeds of over 119 kph/74 mph.

I got productive today in preparation for leaving early for Spring Break, and that was before my flight to Phoenix Thursday afternoon got canceled. So I'm leaving Wednesday night instead. Yikes. In any case, I ran after dinner, as has been the case for a few of these Sundays. 9.25 miles updoors at a well-moving pace. Here's the good news: no problems with soreness or tightness in the hamstring, so I should be good to go for workouts again. I feel fine about this week in that I got in two decent ones, though as Elliot Kadrofske so graciously reminded me in April of last year, it can get really easy to forgo harder runs and wind up not doing them, so I'll need to make sure to keep them part of the plan when I get to Arizona and back to Illinois. Next week figures to be the most testing yet in terms of time and mileage. But in the meantime, I'm proud of my efforts this week (76 is a new record, a full mile and a half over my highest summer week), and that gives me motivation. I think I should be able to make this work.
