Daily Note

Coach said to treat today like a school day so we decided to treat it like a 100 day since we wanted to get more sleep. We left at like 9 and did our usual course, and the cramp was there a tiny bit on my right side but it was barely noticeable. I'll keep icing and massaging throughout the day since I did that last night and it seems to be working.

Ran the 5ppm course with the boys after school, and running to the start and back made it 6. Good call to run on soft surfaces at a slower pace in between 2 hard days. The cramp was there a bit at the start but then it went away to nothing at the end and it didn't even hurt during core which was good to see. I took some advil when I got home and I'm gonna ice again, and we'll see how it feels on the morning run. If it still is noticeably bad I'm gonna try to see the doctor during the day tomorrow to see what they say. I really just think it's tightness as a result of the hard training though, and that it will go away with another day or two of icing and massaging. After the run I stretched, did core and lite plyos, and then 2x5 pullups. Really excited about the sectionals news. I did not expect that to happen at all, but that sort of news is exactly why the 5 months of teamless running was worth it.
