Daily Note

Couldn't come to summer running today because I had an early drive with Bill and I didn't want to reschedule it because it's my last one. I made up a variation of the lake eleanor loop last night that goes over Swanson Bridge at the 7.5 mile mark and from there I just ran home since that's a half mile. Not the most enjoyable run since I was having some stomach pain but I got through it and the hill sprints were good too. I finished stretching and showering just as Bill rolled up. I thought Bill was a character before this drive, but boy he really amped it up today. He spent the entire hour singing under his breath, and every so often he would mention the late but great restaurant Teddy Fabz and say something like "Teddy Fabz, fine establishment", or "Teddy Fabz, loved their fries". 45 minutes into the drive he revealed that he'd never actually been to Teddy Fabz, which made me wonder why he had spent the whole drive talking about how great it was. He also had an old fashioned radio in the car that he kept fussing around with and muttering about how the antennae was broken, but he still wouldn't turn it off even though all it as doing was blasting loud static noises. The drive came to a crescendo when we were stuck behind a freight train and Bill (probably realizing he would never see me again after this) decided to abandon the under the breath singing and instead sing at full volume, which was a beautiful way to close out my time as a fresh green light student. Also, my phones not turning on so I can't log on strava (or do anything with it) until it gets fixed.
