Daily Note

Today was hold pace and I wanted to do it because my knee was feeling a lot better, but it was still swollen and I decided it would be smarter to take another easy day and not re-injure it. I ran the warm up with everybody and then led the 8 minute pace group. I decided I would run with them for 4 miles since I didn't want to push my knee too much and I wasn't sure anyone would still be running after 4 miles anyway. I was proven wrong however, since Carson was the lone survivor after three miles, with Buddy getting 3 miles, Logan and Krish getting 2 miles and everyone else falling off before 2. He really didn't seem too tired and after I stopped at 4 miles he kept going and without me pacing he picked up the pace a ton and dropped a 7:05 for mile 5. Pretty hype, and he and TJ both have a lot of potential as well as the other new freshman. As for me I took a long nap after practice and iced my knee a lot and it feels perfectly fine and the swelling is pretty much gone. Unless something happens I'm going to jump back into normal mileage and workouts tomorrow.

Summer Miles: 178.51
