Daily Note

So we started driving home from Missouri last night and we ended up at a Best Western. They didn’t have a workout room, but we found out there was a YMCA close to the hotel so we convinced our dad to take us there in the morning. We got up at 6:30 and when I got up I really just wanted to go back to sleep but I didn’t, and I got Cole and my dad up and off we went. We got lucky, because the YMCA had an indoor track so we didn’t have to do another workout on the treadmill. It was 13.6 laps per mile there, so we calculated that the 400s would be three laps plus a bit extra. We warmed up and then off we went. We started out fast but the time was only an 81, so we realized that we went too long and changed the stopping spot to a sign a few meters back. I lead the rest of the first set, and we hit 75,75 and then 73. Then we did 6.5 laps of recovery and then Cole lead the next 3 400s and we hit 76, 74 and 73. We decided at some point in the workout to race the last one, and I took the lead and held it and by the end I was practically sprinting. I hit 68 with cole right behind me, so overall a great workout for both of us. The 400s may have been a bit short but I don’t think they were, and I think if they were than all the turning we had to do probably made up for it. The workout wasn’t a full 5 because we didn’t have time to do the full recovery after the last 400, but it was still probably longer than what I logged it as. These last three days have been a grind, with treadmill hills than 9 on the treadmill and then SIs today, but it was worth it to get everything done. Hyped for an easy CT tomorrow and then a good week of training before the Deerfield invite. Also, if any of you guys watch Americas got talent, we are going to see Tapeface tonight which should be hype.
