Cole and I ran our 5ct at around 7:30, and we basically just ran through Shepard down Gordon terrace and then down wilmot, and then turned back at St Gregory’s church. I felt fine during the run, but we picked it up a bit on the way back since we got to st Gregory’s in 19 minutes and then got back home in under 18. We did strides in the Shepard parking lot and estimated the distance. I did 8x100m and hit between low 16 and mid 17 on all of them. Then I stretched at home and ate a protein bar, while watching Dog With a Blog. Then I did some strength stuff, rolled out and took an ice bath. This has been a good week of training for me, with 2 quick long runs, a good hold pace and SIs, all coming off of last week where I ran in 4 meets. I’m gonna keep up this momentum because based off my prowling on athletic.net I think I’ll need to run a 4:45 or faster before palatine to ensure a spot in the freshman race. Sub 4:45 happens to have been one of my track goals, and I think I can do it if I grind hard in these coming weeks.
