Today was a great day for me. The grind began with swimming in gym and lowkey I am seeing improvement which is good because I kind of want to try and swim frequently over the summer for cross training. The hold pace was slightly different today since everyone was told how many miles they had to hit. I had 2 since I’m not fully back, and I didn’t really know how it would go. The warmup and continuous felt fine, and I got out around the middle of the pack. I stayed there the whole time pretty much but I moved up a little to make sure there were no gaps. This workout went really well for me because the 2 miles felt way easier than I thought it would. I just didn’t let myself think about dropping and I just enjoyed running an actual workout. I felt so good at the 2 mile that I asked coach if I could do another, but he said no which was probably the right decision. I think we may have been a bit over 12 but idk because I forgot to stop my watch. After a short break, I did a slow cool down with Beamer Asher and Brent (who all hit 2 miles also fire up) and then did an abbreviated Greco core, 2x20 push-ups, 9 minute bands + lateral bands, and rolled out and stretched and ate carbs and protein. Then I had a stressful and long di meeting but we’re making moves so it was worth it. 400 goal for tomorrow: sub 65 (idk if that’s too easy or too hard but that’s my goal).
