Dr. Keeler 10k!!

Run

: 11.65 Mile(s) : 01:19:51 : 00:06:51.24 /mile : GT2000sPeriwinkle : 0.0

Daily Note

15 shakeout, 20 warmup with 90 extendo, 10k in 36:53 for a 13 second PR and 75 seconds faster than my 10k two weeks ago at conference, 8ish cool down. Really happy with this one and glad I decided to run it instead of the 5k. Started out with Katie, we hit 88s for a while, then just tried to catch people. Ended up running pretty consistent 88/89s throughout the race and never got passed, only passed other people which I was happy about. Felt really good/smooth the first four miles and was proud of how I stayed engaged. Unfortunately did not quite have the confidence to make it hurt as early as I should have, only really started kicking with 600 to go. Closed in a 79. Really glad I dipped under 37 because once I knew I probably wasn't going to qualify that became the new goal. All in all, had so much fun with this race and felt like it was a good one to end on. Probably could have gone about 10 seconds faster had I had a little more confidence, but really can't complain. Really going to miss this... emotional day. Will write a season/career reflection probably next week. I love this team.
