Daily Note

Decent McGoo's with some folks, would've been happy with it if I hadn't burned out on the last interval. It was mainly just getting discouraged because Owen took off, but I need a better mentality going into Saturday. Everyone always talks about the bright leaves of autumn, but I feel that now, when all the leaves turn brown and fall, is the most interesting, because it holds an ending. Leaves that blew in the wind and whispered and covered us for so many months are at their own end, and yet they present a new beginning as well, as they travel until they rot away, cultivating the dirt and giving the trees new energy for new leaves. It is the life that is worth remembering, but the birth and death that tell us where that life comes from and where it is going. Just a thought
