Daily Note

Tutored Devin and helped him understand a poem. Slept in bc Goldberg canceled our bike bc it's her bf bday. I then went to a protest but my mask oc broke the second I got there, so I had to hold it to my face and stay 30ft away instead of like 10. Then I just biked all around south city on an errand and it was so, so beautiful. I'm gonna start bringing my camera. And the weather was lovely. I did a phone bank training that was hella stressful bc the vols had all these ass tech issues. But then Carol, Ashlee and I picnicked on the roof with Meskerem and it was so nice. Except these really shitty singers on the patio below who had such reedy, off-pitch voices sang for like 3 hrs, and these middle-aged people moved over to stand by our blanket (that we had put down there specifically to social distance) so they could watch the patio below. After they left, I looked over the railing at the patio, saw all the people like 2ft apart WITHOUT masks, and in the intermission, I yelled overly-loudly to Carol and Ashlee "wow, they're all out here without any masks!" so they all heard lol. I'm not ashamed, and if they're embarrassed, they should be bc they are doing something shameful! Like 15 people, close, maskless smh. The Meskerem slapped so fucking hard. Grace is coming home tomorrow bc she thinks she has the ronies (getting her results tom), so she and her college friends are renting a car and driving down to my house to "quarantine" bc the sorority house was "too strict." See. This is why I needed to get an apt. Literally not safe in my house. Apt furniture is really coming together and the building has a contest for best design and I think we can win or place. Most of the furniture in the living room is from my room at home or basement.
