Ran this in the Endorphin Pros. The wind was out there today on the odd miles. I went out in the first mile at 5:13 into the wind, then eased up for the second mile and ran faster (5:09). The second mile felt significantly easier than the first did. The third mile was back into the wind so I kept that in mind when I looked back at the pace. I maintained the same effort for the fourth mile, which wasn't into any wind. The fifth mile was back into wind so I did the same thing I did in the third mile. My stomach started feeling uneasy about halfway through the fifth mile so I debated just cutting it there, but I wanted to get to 6 so I kept going. My stomach was still giving me trouble the last mile so I tried my best to just ignore it. Maybe that's why it was so quick.
I didn't remember exactly where the 6-mile marker was, just the general area. But from the crack to the manhole (2-mile marker) it takes me 40 seconds. From the manhole to the 4-mile marker it also takes me 40 seconds. So it would make sense that from the 4-mile marker to the 6-mile marker it would also take 40 seconds. In the 6th mile, I came through the 4-mile marker in 4:16, and I came through where I calculated the 6-mile marker in 4:56 (31:14 total). I ran a few seconds extra just to make sure I didn't underestimate it (5:00, 31:18 total).
