Stretched out for just over 9 mins and then rolled out for just under 3.5 mins after the run.
After reflecting on this, I definitely messed this up. The plan was to keep it at the same pace that I was doing my mile repeats, which is how the first mile went. I'm not sure what it was, but the second mile ended up being a good bit faster. The effort felt the same, but the pace was different. This is a problem that I have, doing too much too soon. I went into the third mile with the intent to make it a fast one. I felt calm and relaxed through the first half-mile of it, but towards the end I found myself thinking "stay on pace" and rationalizing my decision with "it's only a half-mile, and I'm done after". I don't think this was a total loss, in fact, it is only a total loss if I don't take anything away from it. So I'll take away this: at this point of the season, it could have gone way better if it was slower. It is only August, I don't need to be fast until November, and I should be thinking that during all of my workouts.
