Daily Note

2up, 9x800 @interval, 2down. Super cold, rainy, and windy today, but went out to the outdoor track anyway. Was nice to not have to deal with tight turns, and the wind was good practice for that #grind that happens mid-race. 8s went: 2:38, :39, :40, :41, :40, :40, :41, :40, :39. Wasn't sure how this would go after the first few...was feeling pretty drained and awkward on my feet, but switched up the mindset and actively loosened up the upper body - could tell I was getting tense and trying to force the pace around 3-4. Once I relaxed the form, moved a lot more naturally and was able to work through the wind much better! Not an easy workout, but one that makes you feel really accomplished after its over! A dark and cold cooldown with a crew back to wise, then rolled and stretched a good bit before brooks.
