Daily Note

Got out the door with Bill at 2:22pm when the weather was 73 degrees, mostly sunny, and 7mph winds. Absolutely nuts to have snow and now return to 70+ temps. Global warming, man. Legs and body felt pretty bad from the get go. Just a bunch of underlying soreness that is likely due to eleven miles in my garbage shoes yesterday. Thankfully the Pure Flows are set to get here on Thursday. Bill wasn't feeling great with some of his breathing issues flaring up, so right after we passed by Crete and Ben Scott's house, he turned around. Decided to change up things a little and headed down towards Washburn to check off Harriet as well as some Tangletown roads. Also meant that I got some elevation change as is always the case around Washburn. Cardio felt super restricted during all of this...something that was honestly the case throughout this entire effort. Running around and working back towards Lake Harriet, I had this feeling in my bones that no matter the result tonight, this was gonna be an incredibly historic day. Pretty cool to feel that. Even some slight goosebumps. Worked back home using Rose Gardens and cutting back homes to get around ten. Only one notice of the ankle around mile four, so I guess pretty good in that regard. One of those odd days where I feel bad, but the pacing was surprisingly fast...even though it seemed as if I was running 7:20s. Afterwards was rolling & 11min. of GS...some abs, finished with upper body dumbbell stuff.
