Daily Note

Ran solo from Porter @ 4:55pm when the weather was 44 degrees, 13 mph winds, and misting. Pretty crummy day outside, but layered up enough so that the cold and rain weren't too bothersome. Hit up Whore of Babylon with some very small add-ons with Fremont Street and Way Park. Legs felt very good the first two or so miles, but got tired in the middle portion of the run. Don't know what was up. Just had a slight rubberiness to them. Thankfully they were back to normal after crossing back over Hwy 3. Made sure to take today easy and keep the cardio comfortable. Trying to set myself up well for tomorrow. Daniel told me I should take tomorrow conservatively and really focus on simply qualifying for conference and avoiding a blow-up. I certainly agree with him, but know it may be tough for me to do this once I'm on the start line at the U. Most notable part of the run was the immense need to pee that came on around mile five...a true rarity for me. Thankfully no GI distress after having a sandwich with cucumbers on it in my bag lunch though. Did 4x100m strides spiked up out on the track. Went decently, though the strong wind was an annoyance for the odd numbered ones. Decent turnover. To finish the day out, I did calf raises, toe tappers, 20 squats, rolling, R8 rolling, 50 push-ups, 20x core circuit, and stretching. Noticed that my left hamstring is much tighter than my right...need to work on improving this. PF7s @ 436.9 miles.
