A Day to Recover

Run

: 9.00 Mile(s) : 01:05:41 : 00:07:17.88 /mile : Brooks Pure Flow 7 #6 : 0.0

Daily Note

Ran from Porter @ 3:30pm when the weather was 42 degrees, 6 mph winds, and partly sunny. Was honestly expecting to have to run in Skog today as two inches of snow were predicted, but it ended up being a pretty nice day! Clouds cleared up during the run and warmed up NW Roads. Went out on those softer surfaces with Plumb, Justin, and Primo. Some spots were decently muddy, but nothing too bad. Sure beat doing Bryce or Jeff. Very glad to have a good small group of guys to talk with on the run. Otherwise this thing would have really dragged on. I didn't feel all that good. The legs were flat and cardio was far from ideal. Just felt pretty tired to be entirely honest. Perhaps it had something to do with the poor sleep two nights ago (though I certainly tried to compensate with the 10+ tonight). Tibial tendon was slightly more sore today, but wasn't a bother on the run. Too be expected after yesterday's track work in the Hanzos. Glad we kept the pace easier, but still at 7:20 or below. Helped make things feel natural, while still very much recovery effort. Started very slow, but the last five averaged around 7:10. Afterwards: calf raises, toe tappers, ankle mobility, rolling, stretching, 50 push-ups, 20x core circuit, and 20 squats. PF7s @ 414.6 miles.
