Daily Note

Sleep grind the last two days...woke up at 10am. Ran in Skog on the updoors track at 3:50pm. I could've ventured outside for cross campus (actually had a decent amount of boys doing it), but I opted to stay inside. I knew exactly what the conditions were in there and with all the snow we got yesterday, I wasn't sure what the roads around Northfield would be like. With the race tomorrow, I didn't want to throw anything unexpected at my legs that could make me unnecessarily sore. Primo and Byll were the primary accomplices on this run, but Luke and Jeb were there at times. Felt pretty solid. Legs had some bounce and although not as fresh as I would like, they aren't tired, which I'll take. They started to feel weird (flat/somewhat tight) during the last mile. Cardio was average. Some very slight feelings of sickness stick around (scratch in the throat), but otherwise I think I'm doing good. This was my shortest run in a long while (first one under eight miles since Dec. 16) and it felt like that...I was done before I knew it! Did my pre-meet stride routine of 2x100, 1x200, 2x60. Everything was solid, though the 200 went too fast with a 33. Closed out with calf raises, toe tappers, rolled, stretched, balancing, ankle mobility, and R8 rolling. Opportunities abound this weekend! PF7s @ 572.8 miles.
