Run

: 11.80 Mile(s) : 01:25:09 : 00:07:12.96 /mile : Brooks Pure Flow 7 #5 : 0.0

Daily Note

Ran from Chris's place at 9:25am when the weather was high 60s, (finished around mid-70s), sunny, and 9 mph winds. Another toasty one, but I'm not gonna complain too much, knowing the weather that awaits us in MN. Route took me down the Yellow, around the Green up the Blue, back out to Tamiami, and then a little bit of the Red loop. Couple of little add-ons in in Deerwood and Ibis Cove...discovered the second largest house within this bad boy. This route was truly a full tour of Bonita Bay...good way to finish things off. Took the pace nice and easy today as the main goal these next two days is resting up for the Showcase on Friday. (5K scheduled for 9:40pm should be interesting, but still looking forward to the opportunities that abound. I think the 'long' 30ish hour break between runs should help with this, as well as the seven miles I plan on tomorrow). Legs felt average...not flat, but certainly didn't have much bounce. Cardio was also nothing special. Arms were a bit more fatigued than usual. Achilles and outer left foot weren't a bother, though as I'm typing this in the airport I'm feeling the left foot a bit. Thankfully the painful callouses I had yesterday also weren't too apparent. To close the day out, did 60 push-ups (trying out something new), 20 squats, 20x core circuit, 30 crunches, 15x PT side-ups, calf raises, toe tappers, stretching, rolling, and balancing. Finished off with a nice cold rinse under the shower before hitting the pool one final time. Overall, a very productive week of training in Florida. So incredibly thankful to have gotten to come down here again. Certainly a different experience from last year, but still tons of fun. PF7s @ 423.6 miles.
