Daily Note

Woke up @ 9:45am and did nothing. Could've done the usual strength set, but Phil talking to me about my 'work/rest' ratio on Friday has me thinking...Ran from Skog @3:30pm when the weather was cloudy with real feel of -12. (I think 6 and 11 mph winds). Was certainly pretty cold out with hands and face feeling it the last couple of miles. It was nice having the wind come from the east though, so it was at our backs coming back. Ran Bryce with Plumb, Trips, Bill, and Turtle. Bill and Turtle pulled away for two miles, but the rest of us were still going at a decent pace. Speaking of pacing, today was some of the most consistent I've seen, so pretty happy with that. Added on solo in the northern suburbs and finishing down S*$% Shack, something that has become pretty routine these last few weeks. Didn't feel all that great for the first few miles of the run. (We ran by the house during this for Plumb to pick up a face mask, which meant we ran down Greenvale instead of Ole Ave. A nice change of scenery for sure!) Eventually once we turned out the wind I got into a good rhythm and was able to cruise along for the remainder of things. Turnover and cardio were both solid, and even though the pacing was quicker everything felt comfortable. Roads were in surprisingly good condition. Outside of the left foot was a nuisance throughout the day again (though less painful than yesterday), but not too bad in run. Only felt it slightly near the end of things. Think I've figured out GOAT cold outfit. Need the compression, tights, and pants on bottom. long sleeve, purple hoodie, and breaker on the body. double gloves and balaclava+gator+hat on head. Works out pretty well, as this actually had me sweating today. Hands are tough to address though, as they've still gotten somewhat numb the last two days. Don't know if I'll venture outside before we leave for Florida on Wednesday afternoon. Tomorrow is a indoor workout, while Tuesday and Wednesday may simply be too cold to go outside! After the run, did calf raises, toe tappers, rolled, stretched, Elliot Core Routine, ankle mobility, balancing, 20 out/back PUs, 15x PT side-ups, & 30 leg lifts. PF7s @ 300.1 miles.
