Daily Note

Woke up @9am and did 50 push-ups, 20 squats, and 20x core circuit. Ran from Skog @3:30pm when the weather was a dreary 30 degrees, cloudy, and 6 mph winds. Headed out on Swine with Bill, Birdo, Butters, Justin, Turtle, and Jeb. Today was a rough one to say in the least. Cardio was perfectly fine...in fact the heart rate was much lower than it has been and only maxed around 140 which is real good. Legs also weren't too bad, though they did start to feel tired with a mile or so remaining. The pressing issue today was my stomach. Things felt incredibly off and I ranged from feeling overly full to bubbly to nauseous. No fun at all. Was really questioning whether I was gonna make it through. Being my stupid self however, decided to grind things out and add on in the Burner area in order to get at least twelve miles on the day. Pretty much immediately regretted my decision as GI distress began to hit only a quarter mile after the Thye Pkwy turnoff. This made for quite the adventure as I struggled to get back to campus the final four miles. Was trying to think of possible places to stop and relieve myself, but none came to mind unfortunately, so it was Skog or bust! Thankfully got back, thereby finishing up a pretty terrible run. Pacing started very slow today, around 7:30, dropped to 7:10ish for the middle seven miles, and then slower for the last little bit. Lots of wildlife out today, with two bald eagles early on, plus three whitetail deer running into the woods on NE. My condition didn't improve during strides. Only did 2x100 cause my stomach was still feeling off and legs felt sore and gassed after only one. Pretty frustrating, but decided to listen to my body and not push through for four strides. Did calf raises, toe tappers, rolled, the Elliot Core Routine, and balancing. Was considering not doing core and simply laid on the mats for five minutes or so feeling less than stellar, but it surprisingly helped improve the stomach conditions. Rough one today and feel pretty tired this evening, so I'm gonna focus on getting some quality sleep tonight. Tomorrow's another day...hopefully workout goes alright. PF7s @ 140 miles.
