Daily Note

Went up to the MAC @ 9:15am to get in 30 minutes of biking w/ the typical 'off the saddle' reps. Solid, hard effort. Then did 20 squats, 20x core circuit, 30 resistance bands, and the Upper Body Lifting Routine. Felt quite good today! Possibly gaining some strength? Ran at 4:15pm today when the weather was 40 degrees, mostly cloudy, and 15 mph winds. Some very strong gusts from the NE made for a little chillier run that expected. Wore the orthotic today. A little pain on the outside of my right foot, but that seems to come and go from time to time. Should be fine. Legs felt some tiredness today, but strangely also felt surprisingly fresh. Was able to cruise along at a pretty decent clip without expending much effort. Cardio felt great. After running in Florida over interim break and Okemos for the first day of spring break, I think I've realized why I often have a quicker ppm than usual. There's not many hills to keep the pace entirely even and reasonable. Might just have to make sure I'm cognizant of this...or could just roll with 6:45 since I feel good. We'll see how break progresses I guess. Afterwards did 50 push-ups, calf raises, toe tappers, 3 min. wall sit, rolled, stretched, and pillar GS x 15. Definitely harder to get motivated for post run stuff at home than it is at the mats. Could see this as a negative, but also think it might be good for me to take it a little easier over break and give myself somewhat of a mental rest.
