4 mile shakeout, felt good. This will be a super short trip for me, flying to Boston today, heading straight to the airport to fly home after I finish. Probably not ideal for performance, but better for the wallet and less family stress with a 1 year old.

I feel good about tomorrow. I don't really have a concrete goal other than to run my best marathon ever...but that probably doesn't mean a PR time. I believe I'm in 1-2 minutes better shape today than when I ran 2:35 last June. But that 2:35 was on a fast course in near ideal conditions. I won't see tomorrow's course until I run it, but I know it's famously hard with hills in the last 8 miles. And it looks like it will be the warmest temperature for me in 2019 with a high of 70 (I've run in 50+ degrees four times this year). Pretty strong wind out of the south which I think will be a crosswind nearly the entire way. And decent chance of rain, although probably not the entire way. I have no idea what the course and those conditions will do to times so I'm focusing on race execution.
I guess I can set a place goal, top-261. I'm bib #361 which ranks me as the 261st fastest non-elite since bibs are assigned by qualifying time with 0-100 reserved for elites.
Back in February I couldn't wait to get this training block behind me and the race over with. Now I'm a little sad that it's ending. The last 3 weeks I've felt great and have produced some of the best workouts of my life. And I know that come Tuesday it'll probably be at least several months before I have a stretch this good again, if ever. Guess I just have to go out and enjoy this one last fun run.
