Today's run was good, but a little tough. We drove out to the Waukee YMCA because of the nearby dirt road. I started out the run with Cass, Riley, and Cole. We didn't't want to go crush 6:30s in the heat and rolling hills so we "chilled" at 7 minute pace. I was still pretty sore from the past two days but that's how it goes. There course was essentially a backwards P. Maybe 20 minutes in, Cole's knee was starting to hurt so he turned back and Riley went with because he has less milage than the rest of us (he has an extra vertebrae, idk it's really weird). I've never really been alone with Cass but it was not awkward at all. We had a really good time talking about a whole variety of stuff. He is a pretty cool guy and we got along very well. The run was pretty hilly and it only got hotter with time. It was tough but definitely rewarding to finish. The worst part was easily on the bottom part of the "p loop" because we went from running in the heat, but with a wind to cool us down to not wind and bad hills. Oh well. Got some solid Einstein's and a good stretch.
