Daily Note

Revenge Tour

Today kind of sucked. My foot still hurt this morning, quite a bit. I kinda had to limp for most of the day to make my foot not hurt, but around fourth period, I just started walking on it and I was fine-ish. I planned on starting with four and seeing how it went. If I couldn't do it because of the pain, I would go in and bike for 21 more minutes, if I felt fine I would finish. I started out running Widowmaker with Stu, but he wasn't feeling too great so I ran mostly by myself. It was SO windy and running on Deerfield and Waukegan roads was so hard at times, but I was still "busting a nut" - Tim Larson. After I got onto Deerfield road, my foot didn't hurt but my achilles did feel a bit sore. I think that this is due to overuse of it during the day because I was walking weirdly. It actually felt really sore when I turned onto Waukegan but I pushed through it and the more I used my foot normally. The wind was so brutal, that sometimes I felt like I was making up no ground but when I finished Widowmaker I was still going pretty fast. I did a mile out and back into The Slough. I got in a good stretch and then went dipski pretty early. I iced my feet and lower calves tonight and I will do a thorough roll out and tape later. Moving past the annoyance that was today. Back to normal tomorrow with big boy mileage. Hyped for a GREAT season!
