15 min warmup at the track, stretching, strides, mile time trial, then 2x1600. Goal for the mile time trial was to get a big PR. I didn't really achieve that. Hit 4:35.0, a 2 second PR, but I was hoping to run a lot faster. Got out very fast (62, 68) so probably should've paced it better. Puked a lot, then 2x1600 with goal pace of 4:59. I was not good on these. Hit 5:11 and 5:09, just did not have the drive to get up with everyone else and hold on for these miles. Not good execution. Threw up a lot more after, and my head was super dizzy during and after the 1st and 3rd mile. I don't know why my head was hurting so bad, I was well hydrated and well rested. As coach westphal said, though, today was a good shock to our system by getting out so hard and trying to hold on, so honestly, I might be having those same feelings on saturday and gotta hold stronger than 5:10. Cooled down on the bikes because I was so dizzy and nauseous.
