Good 3200 today. Was not going anywhere near all out, but still PRed. Good to know I haven't lost too much fitness. This 3200 felt really relaxed and pretty smooth, especially for the first 4-6 laps. Felt like tempo and just like during Tuesday's practice. Breathing was completely controlled and I felt good. Happy with how I ran evenly. I think the mile splits were even and I kept cranking out 80s laps no problem until the last 100m. Really excited to see what I can do given how relaxed this felt. May test out my fitness next week if everything feels okay. Calves are sore, but not too bad. Left hip was a bit stiff afterwards, but I'm taking care of it and it didn't hurt while I was racing.

Went out there aiming to run about 80-90% and controlled and relaxed. Coach Daniel said anything between 11:45 and 10:40 would be good. Gradually reeled Peter in and ended up finishing a few seconds behind him. Didn't really make a strong move until the last 100m. Could have channeled my competitive side more and really made a decisive move to catch him sooner, but that wasn't the purpose of the run. That being said, I sped up the last 100m because I want to practice closing hard and not get in the habit of strolling at the end of the race which I feel like may have been a mistake I made during XC. I don't want to be scared to engage. Next week if I'm truely racing I'm going to throw it down on the track. I want to see what I can do and who's got it.
