Daily Note

Easy 3 w crispy at 7:30 this morning. Ran to a park a little under a mile away from where we are staying. Park is dope. Has a 4 lane grass track, a .7 grass loop around it, and a pavement loop that’s 1527 meters marked every 100 meters. Will workout there this pm.

On another note, due to wearing the same socks for like 5 days in a row, I’ve developed some gnarly blisters. F

Pm: easy 4 mile warmup to and in the park. Then got down to the nitty gritty. Was alone for the workout, Chris was running it on the pavement loop. Wasn't sure what paces to try and run, so just went by feel. The track wasn't optimal for a workout. The grass wasn't great, pretty clumpy, and the energy return was super low so it sucked a lot out of your legs. Probably one of the coolest and also worst tracks I've ever worked out on. Goal was to stay comfortable the whole way and not to really strain to hit a pace. Took pretty ample rest also. Splits were: 5:02, 3:10, 2:30, 2:31, 75, 71, 70, 70. Great workout, was really surprised I hit these splits. Cool down to 13.
