Daily Note

5:35 wake up. Ran to newton park for a workout. First time on a track since dkm wow. Wasn’t sure what to do. Didn’t want to do a hard workout bc it is down week and I’m gonna do a uptempo effort/fast long run this weekend so I wasn’t gonna tempo today. Decided just to do the 200s even tho I kinda did them earlier this week. Started with crispy but he wanted to do them faster w more rest so I went solo, a little slower but only 200 rest. Felt really good, didn’t really feel a strain til the last one. Splits were: 31 (w crispy), 36 (overcompensating), 34, 33, 33, 33, 33, 32. 2nd set: 33, 32, 33, 33, 32, 32, 31, 31. On the last 4 tried to accelerate final 50 meters. Glad I got in something without taking a lot out of me. Was sweet to be working out in the sun shirtless, summer sure beats Minnesota this time of the year!!! Also the homie @nick Willis is racing an 800 tonight at 6:50 at newton, me n Chris r gonna try and get over there to watch!

*Edit: Got to see Nick Willis run, he got second in like 1:49 to some 18 year old named Sam Tanner. Kid looks like a stud, might be real good in a few years...
