Daily Note

Yesterday our prof told us that we would be leaving Mt. Cook at 5:45am to make it to Christchurch on time. We asked her how much free time we would have in the evening and she told us it would be minimal. Thus, we didn't have much of a choice today. We woke up at 3:45am to run before the bus.

The run was actually sweet. We had headlamps on for the first 6/7 miles, but the stars were amazing. Could see the milky way. After about 7 we didn't need the headlamps anymore so we took them off and finished the run. The run was just up to the hooker valley parking lot and back x3, we stayed to the road bc of the darkness. The light at the end of the run was beautiful, really reflective moment right there for just how lucky I am to have bub crispy to run with me every day. Running brings folks together in ways nothing else does, and I'm lucky to have that dude and a whole team back in northfield to share that bond with.

Slept a lot on the bus to Christchurch. Walking tour all day, then writing a paper. Probably gonna go buy groceries now!
