Daily Note

Woke up and had a big meal of instant oats, banana, and coffee. Presentations today. Came back to hotel after instead of going to the beach with everyone else. I need a break to recharge. We had a big lunch of pasta and beans with banana and protein bar, then a good nap. Headed out for long run a bit after 6. Did 10 minute core sesh before. Also took a nice number 3, first one since I've gotten down here. Long run was bomb! We started conservative on the rugby field, laps there, then went to a track til a bit past 8, more laps there. Shit break for crinsper, then we found a sweet bike path. Did rest of run there and finished on rugby field to make it to 16. Mile splits as follows:

BOMB! Super pleased with this, always nice to really hit it home on the long run. Strides, pedestal x15, and hip stuff after. Hip was sore. We stayed in to cook dinner while everyone else went out. Super delicious and healthy meal of fruit salad, salad greens, and meat empanadas. Got peer pressured into heading out to meet with the group after, went alone since crinsper stayed in to read. Everyone was wasted, I just got a beer and watched them in the club haha. Was a pretty nice beer. This is the first drink I've had since 40s. I told crispy this a few days ago and I might as well log it: I've decided that my last true drunken episode before indoor conference was 40s. I'll go out and have at most 2 drinks while I'm down here, but I'm not getting drunk til indoor conference. Excited to see how this will play out for my season.
