Daily Note

Finally running again and excited to start building back up and running with the team. Basically, I had tendonitis in my quad tendon. I took it easy and tried to run/row through the injury, and that seemed to only prolong it. The pain wasn't general soreness that I could run through. It was sharp pain right above the knee that made it difficult to lift my leg into the air after my foot impacted the ground. This left my limping on a number of occasions. I took time off, then started back up again only to have a lot of pain the week of macs. From then on, my physical therapist advised me to stop running because it is irritating the tendon and focus on recovery and strengthening the area. The process took and will continue to take alot longer than I anticipated.
However, I have been really focusing on getting as strong as possible. I've been trying to work on muscle imbalances, and have committed myself to beccoming the best all around runner I can be.
