Daily Note

I came across a 9-week 5K training program from Big River Running. Going to try to key in on the 18:30 goal time workouts. Week 1 workout went swimmingly.

12 x 400m @ threshold 6:20/mile pace [3x(4x400), 200 jog rep rest/400 jog set rest]

Felt great today, despite the 102 heat index and much longer track workout than what I've been doing lately. Goal was 1:35 per rep, which felt really slow compared to recent track paces. Managed to stay pretty close to the goal, hitting most at 1:34; a couple at 1:33, and opened it up for a 1:16 on the final one.
