As requested, https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/2342068738 . Best done when the ground is fairly dry, seriously don't do this in bad weather. The Rodenburgs have opined that it would be better to go the opposite direction. They do have a point. If the weather isn't great and you still want to do Canton, reverse is definitely the better direction. Regardless, approach Canton from the bottom (Coast Ave). Good luck.

Seldom is tricky at the bottom of the hill. The trail turns into overgrown singletrack, and you will miss it if you're not careful. You'll probably miss it even if you are. --- If you came down the hill, at the bottom of the hill there is a short steep rise. After you go up the rise, there's like 20 feet before you reach the railroad, the trail will be on the left. Pick the least bad option, it'll work out. Once you get to the stream, follow it to the left until you find a good place to cross. Cross there. The trail will magically be super obvious again. --- If you're going in the reverse direction: when the trail seems to dead-end at the stream, cross the stream there, then hang a left through the open-ish area, then a right into the woods. Do not run up the hill until you find the obvious trail.
