Freezing rain in the morning thawed in the afternoon. Upper 30s and drizzle. 2mi easy, 6mi tempo in 35:37. Wanted to see how the Achilles responded to faster road running. Felt fine during the tempo after warming up. Tried not to start too hard and I was almost successful. Felt good but I was right on the edge of pushing too hard and crossed the line on the 5th mile so the 6th slowed and my hamstring was trying to cramp from lifting yesterday. Good workout. Time to devote the winter to getting faster.
