what a meet. started off with senior day which was cool, really crazy that these guys are seniors now and that it will already be us next year. felt great on the warmup and the weather was still amazing. started out leading a giant pack behind josh and poly, and made it my goal to just beat everyone in that group. first mile was slower than usual in 5:12, but I felt amazing. was pretty much alone the rest of the race just trying to increase the gap on nate, their really good freshman. second mile was 5:03 (10:15), definitely the fastest middle mile i've ever ran. held off nate and took 3rd so I achieved my main goal. But if I'm being honest with myself, I had too much left after. Josh's race today was probably one of the most inspiring things I've seen maybe my whole life. seeing his emotion after the race, and having run with him for so long, it was just incredible to watch him achieve that. shoutout on other great races to buddy, and jack/brent/blacher who all crushed 18 today. in these upcoming meets where it's all about place, I'm ready to just leave it all on the course like I've never had the balls to do before. good day.

Being able to eat the day before the next race will help, I think :)
