Daily Note

Long day today. After getting back from conference last night I took a contrast shower and did some rolling out and went to bed. I only got like 4 hours of sleep before leaving for the bus, so I slept for some of the way there. Boe bealy was in the 3200 first and he did really well which was hype. I just relaxed and got rpr and did the usual stuff before we warmed up for 10 mins outside. Did continuous and I was honestly pretty nervous, I felt like the weak link in the gang because I haven’t run as many 800s. Ryan started us off super well and luo kept us on that pace, but I knew I needed to push to keep the momentum going. I got out super hot running a 29, I didn’t even know I could so that. Then I ran 62 which is a 400 pr then died a bit but finished in 2:13.06, so close to sub 2:13 but I’m still happy to shave three seconds off my pr. I passed one guy in orange but I know I should have passed him sooner I was too complacent. Eric finished strong and we ended up crushing our old record by 10 seconds. Very hype. We cooled down for a while which was fun then I ended up being in the 4x400. Chilled for a super long time and watched Bradley run well in the 800 and Charlie with a big mile pr which was sick. Then I borrowed Warners sprint singlet and warmed up outside with Bradley and joe. I was closing which was kind of scary. Joe ran super well running a 55 and gave the baton to me in second. I was immediately passed by two people but I got past one of them by the end. I ran 60.67, a little disappointing because the goal was sub 60, but it’s still huge official pr from my 65 in the dungeon. Splits were 31, 29. I needed to push the first lap harder because most people don’t negative split a 400 I feel like. Cooled down half a mile then took the long ride home which was fun. Very happy with today because i showed myself that I don’t have as bad mid-d skills as I thought before this. But there’s definitely room for improvement that will come in outdoor. Right now though I feel kind of sick maybe it’s just because of the exhausting four-meet week, but I’m gonna get a lot of sleep and just chill tomorrow to get better. Great job to everyone, and good day.
