Daily Note

wu 3, 8x400 with a minute rest between (roughly 4 miles), and cd 3 for 10. Splits went 72, 72, 72, 72, 71, 71, 71, and 74. Wanted to start out with 75's but I lead the first 400 out a little quicker, thought I would do that. Let Ryan lead most of the rest of them, followed not far behind for most but around the 7th set I started feeling tired, coach told me to slow it down and even after splitting about 4 seconds slower I got really worked up so I cut it at that. Pretty satisfied with a solid effort today even though I was aiming to get in at least 10 400's I can still walk away with a good workout and knowing that there is much more work that needs to be done. Although I really wish I was in a different place fitness wise and I really regret getting injured again over the break, I know now is not the time for me to think irrationally, now is the time for me to get mentally ready for the outdoor season and prepare for the greatest races of my life.

Listen injuries are uncontrollable and are a part of the process. It's important to understand the position you're in and not rush the process. Probably ran a little too quick the first workout back but as each week gets stacked, fitness gains are made. Stay patient.
