Daily Note

AM: Hip mobility + bands before lunch. Doing tempo in evening when wind is less. PM: Another disappointing workout. 1' WU, 5 mi. tempo in 30:07, 1' CD. Yet it was harder than a tempo. I felt exhausted, and I had to poop very badly. I stopped, and almost pooped behind a tree. This is a wake up call and strike one. I need to get my shit together fast. It is already January, and I am nowhere near the shape I want to be in. I'm struggling to run 6 min. miles. That is utterly pathetic. My miles have not been of good quality. This needs to change. Tomorrow is January 1, 2020, and things will change. I am going to get in shape fast, and I am going to get better. My New Year's Resolution towards running will be 1) doing mentality exercises frequently, i.e. meditation and yoga, 2) roll out, stretch, and take contrast showers every night, 3) do everything I can to get more than 8 hours of sleep a night, 4) hydrate and eat well every day, and 5) have a better outlook towards the sport and be a more supportive teammate.
